ery year of my girl’s life, I’ve made her a special outfit to celebrate her birthday in. The first two years were pretty dresses. Her third birthday fell just shortly after her Tio’s wedding, so we decided that she’d wear the pretty dress we made for the rehearsal for her birthday party to keep up the pretty dress tradition. But this year, my girl was old enough to make a special request of her own for an outfit.

It’s time to get cozy, and Staystitch Pattern Co. is ready for it. Lindsey and Candice have launched their newest pattern this week – a cozy sweatshirt with some great details, perfect for looking cute on the couch when the weather outside gets frightful! I had the pleasure of testing the pattern, and have been loving my version of the sweatshirt!
I’m excited to show off something new today, but I’ll be honest that this won’t be an excitingly new piece… In the fall of 2020, I sewed up a pair of Persephone Pants out of some really great ivory colored denim I’d purchased from Blackbird Fabrics. I had just enough denim leftover at the end to also cut out a pair of shorts. So this is literally the same pattern, same fabric, just shorter. Nothing groundbreaking here today, but heck, I sewed a pair of denim shorts and I feel good about that so I’m sharing anyway!
I sewed this beautiful Orchid Top back in October of 2020 with this IndieSew fabric that I’d held onto for quite some time since they had closed! I thought it was a perfect autumn fabric, and couldn’t wait to make something for the season out of it. By the time I got photos taken and edited, it was well into winter and I had other projects to post… And now it is October 2021! So I am excited to finally get around to posting this. Whoops!
