My second post with Minerva Crafts is up over on their blog today! I finally made myself a Wiksten Haori jacket, using some beautiful plaid wool. It’s the perfect coat – it is pretty, warm, and it has GIANT pockets!
I was lucky enough to get to take blog photos in Taos, New Mexico when we took a little road trip out there in January. It snowed almost the whole time we were there, with the most wonderful HUGE snowflakes! The snow combined with the scenery at our AirBNB made for such an awesome background for photos (yes, those are horses in the background in the photo above!).

Woah, I love it! Usually I’m not into those ‘loose’ coats like these, but it works perfectly with the plaid. And the pics are gorgeous in the snow!
