One of my favorite things about the online sewing community is the great sense of camaraderie amongst makers. Bloggers are happy to support each other, and there is no shortage of makers supporting each other’s products. One of the best ways that I see this done is with pattern makers or fabric shops who are emerging onto the scene and getting their names out there. I love sewing up new patterns, and can almost always find a way to make something that fits into my wardrobe. Most recently, I had the chance to work with Seen & Sewn Patterns, and I’ve truly loved the experience. Right now, two patterns have been released through Seen & Sewn – the Cozy Cardigan, and the Tracy Bee Top. I’m here to show off my Cozy Cardigan today, but keep an eye out next week for my take on the Tracy Bee!

February is coming to a close, which means it is time for all of us to reveal our awesome outerwear! This month, the Sew My Style project had two awesome options – the beautiful, newly released Rumana Coat from By Hand London, and the super versatile Estelle Ponte Jacket by Style Arc Patterns. Although I had been so excited and gearing up for the Rumana, when we chose to add in the Estelle, I was over the moon. See how my February Sew My Style project turned out!
I’m a self-admitted selfish sewist. I didn’t think anyone was all that concerned with this, but I recently found out that my husband was feeling a little bummed that I hadn’t made something for him to show off in. I found it so endearing that he actually wanted something handmade, so I’ve wanted to find the perfect something to make him. I took my first dive into men’s sewing with the Thread Theory Strathcona Henley… And I loved it!
This month, in partnership with IndieSew, I decided to see how I could incorporate a few of my (very loose) sewing goals / objectives for the year into the Grainline Linden Sweatshirt. The Linden is a favorite amongst makers – if I remember correctly, it may have gotten the most love back in November for the Sewcialists TNT month! I finally caved, and had to have one (or two!) of my own!
