Ellie & Mac – True Beauty Dress

As my belly continues to grow, I find myself searching for sewing resources geared towards pregnant mama’s. Recently, this search led me to a great Facebook group geared towards ladies like me – sewists who don’t want to quit their hobby but find themselves in a much different shape than normal! One of my favorite finds within this group so far has been Ellie and Mac Patterns, an indie pattern company I’ve not heard of previously but that have lots of super cute and trendy patterns. Best of all, many of their knit patterns don’t even require a maternity hack to be baby bump friendly!! See how I got myself wedding guest ready, despite having nothing in my closet that fit!

Kielo Wrap Dress with D&H Fabrics Co.

I’ve been eyeing the Kielo Wrap Dress forever, and this year’s #SewTogetherForSummer was exactly what I needed to finally get my butt into gear and purchase the pattern! As soon as the wrap dress theme was announced, I knew that I’d be using the Kielo, and was lucky enough to be able to use a discount code specifically made up for Sew Together for Summer! Maxi Chardon + Giveaway!

When Cottoneer Fabrics asked me if I’d like to sew up one of their fabrics, I was so excited to say yes! Cottoneer is a new US-based online fabric store – their official launch was just under a month ago on January 18th. When the owner contacted me about their upcoming launch, I was so impressed by the collection of fabrics offered through the store. She’s got quite a lovely collection, and stocks some great basics (like pastel denims and stripey knits), as well as a number of lines through some of my favorite fabric manufacturers, such as Art Gallery and Cotton + Steel. You can quickly tell when browsing the shop that she’s thoughtfully selected each fabric she offers, which makes it so much more special. See what I made with my first haul from Cottoneer, and find out how you can win 3 yards of rayon fabric and 1 Deer & Doe pattern!
