By Hand London has done it again. The functional wrap top design, the giant billowy sleeves… It’s another winner of a pattern! I’m not at all surprised – when I first began sewing, I wanted to sew By Hand London patterns exclusively. Their feminine, soft aesthetic appealed to me and I bought up almost all of their patterns right away. To this day, many of my favorite me-made pieces are sewn from BHL patterns! This top was sewn with a beautiful Lady McElroy cotton lawn sent to me by Minerva – enjoy!
After one hundred obstacles along the way, I’m finally sharing the faux fur coat that I sewed at the close of 2019. It is perfect timing – it is finally getting cool enough that I might be able to wear this outside soon! Sewing with faux fur was so intimidating to me, but I am so thrilled to be able to say I MADE THIS COAT!
Have you ever fallen so in love with a fabric or pattern that you just think of it constantly? That was me with this pencil skirt for about a year. I saw this fabric on Minerva back in January 2018, and couldn’t stop thinking about it ever since. Once I finally got my hands on some, I struggled!!
One of my favorite makes of 2019 went live on the Minerva blog this morning! I’ve been truly in love with this tee since making it, and wouldn’t mind one bit if I just had a closet full of these. I wear this shirt on a weekly basis, and I’m so happy to finally be sharing it with you guys! How many times have you made this free pattern already???
