Big News this week!!! Issue 14 of Fibre Mood Magazine launched on Wednesday, and as you’ve probably come to expect (I definitely have!) it is packed full of fantastic patterns. I truly don’t know how they pump out such great, unique patterns in such rapid succession! For three or four issues now, I have had the distinct pleasure of choosing a pattern from the upcoming issues in exchange for promoting the pattern on launch day! I love having the opportunity to choose the pattern that feels most “me” from each issue, but I struggled more than usual this time! I’m well into my second trimester now, and my bump is POPPING, so I have to consider my new beach ball belly when considering how the patterns will work for me. I typically like cropped length tops and dresses with cinched-in waist details, but clearly those may not be my best options right now!

Have you ever decided that a pattern wasn’t for you, only to find yourself inexplicably drawn to it over and over again? That was me with the Norma Blouse. For some reason, when I first saw the line drawings for this pattern it just didn’t speak to me as something I thought I would wear often. I don’t know what it was about it, but I quickly decided that this was one I could live without… Until I couldn’t 🙂
Hi, meet my new favorite dress! I actually made this for myself back for my birthday in August, but figured despite being a little bit summery, now was a great time to share it here on my blog – it is pink and Valentine’s-y!
Fibre Mood Magazine Issue 12 launches today, and I’m so excited to have been included in an amazing group of sewists who got to try out a pattern from the magazine ahead of time to help promote and show you what you can look forward to in this issue. As I’ve grown to expect with Fibre Mood patterns, this skirt pattern is lovely, was easily constructed, and although a circle skirt is nothing new or groundbreaking, this one has a couple nice little details that I loved.
