I’ve got another awesome Minerva Make up on the blog today! This Orchid Midi Dress that I sewed up back in June is made in the most beautiful large scale floral Lady McElroy cotton lawn. It was the perfect dress to make to participate in so many of the awesome sewing challenges that popped up in June, and has gotten plenty of wear since then! Come take a look at this 70’s-inspired number!
It’s August, which means it is my BIRTHDAY month! I am a self-proclaimed “Birthday Brat,” and I’ve claimed the month of August as my own for basically my entire life. To kick off my birth-month posts, I’m starting off with another Mama / Mini set – you guys know I can’t resist matching with my girl! Avocado is one of my favorite foods, and the first solid food we introduced the tiny girl to. When I found this fun fabric at So Sew English, I knew we needed matching outfits!
I’m back for round three of my bi-monthly recaps! I did a little better sewing up stash fabrics in May/June than I did in March/April, but still not quite as good as in January/February. I still participated in quite a bit of collaboration sewing again over this 2-month period, but I am so happy to say that I haven’t purchased any fabric since my IndieSew purchase in February / March! I’m really enjoying getting to make up some of my fabrics into garments I’ve had in my brain for awhile, and shopping my stash when I want to try a new pattern. This was a bottom heavy couple of months, with skirts / pants / shorts making a big bang in my handmade wardrobe. Without any further delay, here’s my makes!!…
Can you believe that it is already mid June? 2019 is half over! Today, I’m showing off the matching outfits my little one and I wore for Mother’s Day… back in May!! We’re a bit behind over here. Thanks for bearing with me – parenthood takes priority to quick turnarounds for blog posts these days, but I’m still getting them out!
