Raspberry Creek Fabrics – Spring 2021 Fabric Drop

Spring is coming! Raspberry Creek Fabrics is ready to welcome in the green grass and warmer weather with their Spring Fabric drop. I had the pleasure of participating in sewing along with the 2020 Fall Fabric release, and I had such a hard time choosing which fabric to sew because they were all so great. I was surprised to find I had an even harder time choosing this time around! The fabrics released to the website on Monday – if you haven’t had the chance yet, head over to the RCF website and take a look at the Spring line of Club Fabrics. They are lovely!

Matching Family Outfits using a Repurposed Old Button Down Shirt

Last summer, I had a little fun sewing up Father’s Day presents for my husband and his brother. Early in the Spring, I recognized that I had somehow ended up with a small collection of button down shirts from my husband and his brother that had ripped, torn, or otherwise worn out in a way that was no longer usable. I’d kept them to the side, thinking that someday it would be fun to use the fabric to make something new. 2nd Birthday Celebration Mama / Mini Matching Dune Dresses

When Super Bison Patterns reached out to me to try out their patterns, I was very excited. I was in the middle of thinking up great ideas for Mama / Mini Matching dresses for my tiny girl’s 2nd Birthday Celebration, and I’d already picked out some beautiful fabric but I hadn’t landed on the perfect patterns just yet. Check out my thoughts on the pattern and fabrics I used to make our dresses!

OU/TX Gameday Gear 2020

The OU / Texas football game is a tradition in our house. Every year, we lug out the generator and multiple tents and grills and a giant television and set up a gigantic tailgate in the Dallas Fairgrounds parking lot where we watch the game with 40 of our closest friends mingling in and out through the day. We plan for weeks, our best friends split the shopping and prep duties, and we meet up way too early in the morning with coffee and breakfast burritos in hand to set up a ridiculously elaborate tailgate and spend gameday together. At halftime, we leave a group behind to maintain the tailgate, and we head into the fair for car shows, corny dogs, and fried anything-you-can-think-of… Rain or shine, win or lose, it’s one of my favorite days of the year. Thanks to the dumpster fire that is 2020, though, we’ll be watching OU / Texas from home for the first time since my early years of college. It’s a bummer, but we’ll be looking extra cute in our me-made gameday gear!
