Merry Christmas! I’m sharing my first ever set of me-made family Christmas jammies on the blog today! Christmas jammies is one of my favorite holiday traditions, and it was so special to share it with my husband and tiny girl this year! I’ve got all the details on our matching set (hint – there are SLOTHS) as well as some pretty stinking cute photos. Whether you are reading this today or sometime after, I hope you all enjoy a fantastic and peaceful day with those you love!

Exactly 4 weeks ago we got to celebrate ONE YEAR of my sweet little girl… And you know that I immediately seized an opportunity for matching family outfits! I’ve written a bit about my husband’s shirt recently, but today I’m showing you guys the full family package.
I’m a pretty selfish sewist. My time is limited, and I prefer to spend the vast majority of my sewing time making garments for myself! In the past, I’ve sewn an item or two for my husband and a couple of things for my sister and my sister-in-law. However, since our tiny girl arrived, I’ve really enjoyed sewing a little something up for her every now and then, especially when it means that we can twin. My husband recently lamented that while I’ve taken advantage of mama / mini twinning, he has yet to have the pleasure of matching with her. I’d already planned out matching dresses for Monkey and I to wear for her birthday, so I decided I’d do something nice and add a daddy piece into the mix.
I’m a self-admitted selfish sewist. I didn’t think anyone was all that concerned with this, but I recently found out that my husband was feeling a little bummed that I hadn’t made something for him to show off in. I found it so endearing that he actually wanted something handmade, so I’ve wanted to find the perfect something to make him. I took my first dive into men’s sewing with the Thread Theory Strathcona Henley… And I loved it!
