DIY Halloween Costume – Pumpkin Princess and her Pumpkin Patch

It is OCTOBER! Time really flies – I’m more than halfway through my 12 week maternity leave, which is very bittersweet. We have an exciting month ahead of us in October. My brother-in-law will finally get married, after many COVID-related delays. My baby girl will turn THREE years old! And we will celebrate Halloween… Maybe in a more typical fashion than last year? Remains to be seen. I normally stay VERY up to date on posting my makes here on the blog, but as I’ve had some time to look through photos while I’ve been on maternity leave, I’ve realized that I missed a couple over the past year! My July sewing seemed a little slow, as I started my first ever pair of jeans about halfway through, but once I powered through that awesome project I was very productive throughout August! I had the luxury of taking some time off around my birthday, and just sit in my sewing room for an entire day and make stuff, which I haven’t done in many many months. It felt so great, and was the perfect birthday gift to myself. I also brought you guys in on the birthday fun by hosting a pretty awesome giveaway!! It was a super great couple of months, and here’s the outcome:

OU/TX Kyoto Sweater

It’s time for some serious football here in Dallas!! When OU and UT meet up for football every October, it’s a pretty big deal in my group of people. Despite living in Texas, my husband and I bleed crimson and cream, and I needed to make sure I had something to wear to this year’s gameday that would fit over this giant 36-week bump, and clearly let everyone know which side I’m on! See what I came up with on the blog this morning!
