This romper and top remain my very favorite mama mini matching set I’ve made in our almost year and a half together! When I chose to work with this Swiss Dot cotton fabric, I had absolutely no plan in mind… Which is COMPLETELY out of the norm for me! I thought the color was lovely in the online photo, but I was well aware that I was taking a gamble on a color that could be wonderful, or could wash me out entirely! So, hey, here’s a dress that I’ve had for 2.5 years now. Why it never made it to the blog is beyond me, but I realized that it hadn’t so I’m here to show it off now!
Here’s the thing with poncho sweaters… They are insanely comfortable, they are like wearing a sweater hug, you can eat whatever you like and not worry about post-meal bloaty belly, and you still look put together the whole time. I mean seriously? You can’t lose here. This sweater was perfect for travel, and sewed up so quickly and easily! I’m so happy to finally share it on the blog today!
Are you really a sewist if you aren’t frantically sewing up new me-made garments the week before your trip? Yeah, I didn’t think so. My priority for this trip was to create a few looks that would make me feel put together while still being comfortable enough for travel, and warm enough to be outdoors.
