LadyBossBlogger Course – Is It Worth It? (+ Giveaway!)

June 17, 2020

The Beginning Of My Blog

When I first started sharing my me-made garments on Instagram, I never imagined that I would eventually start a blog or even consider monetizing any of my work. I simply wanted a little corner of the world dedicated to the clothing that I have sewn, where I could dive into conversations with fellow sewists.

As my feed became more visible, I was so fortunate to have some wonderful brands reach out to me with collaboration opportunities. In most cases, these collaborations would be straightforward – a gifted fabric of my choice in exchange for a shoutout to the company on my Instagram and blog.

These collaborations are fabulous, as it means that I get to fill my closet with handmade things and continue pursuing my favorite (and potentially expensive!) hobby at no cost to myself.

Making My Blog Successful

But what about the other pieces that make my blog successful?

While the hand-sewn garments are certainly the focus of my photos, an outfit isn’t complete without some great accessories.

My photos wouldn’t be possible without the right gear.

I couldn’t make the garments at all without the right equipment in the sewing room! All of these little pieces still add up… Not to mention the time!

So, I started to wonder if there was a way to use what I am already doing to make a little money to supplement the costs I encounter.

The LadyBossBlogger Course

That’s where Elaine Rau and her team at LadyBossBlogger come in. A week ago, I started the “Make Money as an Influencer” Course and I’m learning so much.

I’m about halfway through the course now, and one thing that I really like is the way it is structured.

Each topic is organized into small, bite-sized lessons. Even if you only have a few minutes each day to spare, you can easily sit down and take in some valuable information and use that to start working towards your goals.

The Biggest Takeaways So Far

My two biggest breakthroughs at this point have been working towards creating an email list and newsletter and crafting a great pitch.

I actually put together a great pitch email earlier this week and successfully started up what I hope will be a great new partnership.

If this sounds like something you’re interested in, I’m excited to announce that I’ll be hosting a giveaway for a LadyBossBlogger course of your choice.

Course Giveaway!

You can find the full giveaway rules over on today’s Instagram post, but in short, you’ll want to be following me on Instagram, as well as @ladybossblogger and @elainerau, like today’s Instagram photo, and tag a friend in the comments (extra comments with extra friends tagged will count as extra entries!).

The giveaway will run from today through July 1st, and I will announce a winner on Friday, July 3rd, 2020!
