January / February 2019 Recap

Happy March!! I’ve decided that this year, as a way to step back and recognize what I’ve made and make sure I’m on track with some of my sewing goals this year, I am going to do a little recap blog post every couple of months! I’m really looking forward to these! If you follow along with my stories on Instagram, you may be familiar with some of my plans and goals for 2019 sewing. I made this Toaster Sweater back in the autumn of 2017. I went and took a couple of cute blog photos in it, and have been wearing it fairly regularly ever since. Recently, I realized that despite all of that, I’d never actually written a blog post to go with this wardrobe staple! So here I am, finally correcting that.

Striped Tabor Sweater

The Tabor Sweater is hands-down my favorite pattern at the moment. The grey waffle knit version I made at the end of 2018 has been the one thing I’ve reached for most frequently in my closet this season, and I hated when I had to put it in the wash. So instead of pouting all day while it was out of commission, I decided to make another!

Waffle Knit Tabor V-Neck

I will be honest, I’m not sure what I’m more in love with – this lush, squishy, perfectly charcoal grey waffle knit, or the Tabor V-Neck pattern. One thing is for sure, since I whipped this thing up, I haven’t wanted to wear anything else.
