September / October 2019 Recap

Another Recap – and another super late post! I’m excited to look back over my September / October makes today, halfway through December. I think next year, I’ll be switching to quarterly instead of bi-monthly recaps, because I just can’t seem to keep up!! Over the two months I’m recapping today, I made 12 new garments – my three favorites were the matching outfits I made for our family for our tiny girl’s first birthday! I did more “selfless” sewing over this period than usual, and also did a little scrap busting by sewing up a headband out of some leftover leggings fabric. Sew for the One you Love – Ellie & Mac Men’s Basic Tee

I’m a pretty selfish sewist. My time is limited, and I prefer to spend the vast majority of my sewing time making garments for myself! My husband recently lamented that while I’ve taken advantage of mama / mini twinning, he has yet to have the pleasure of matching with her. I’d already planned out matching dresses for Monkey and I to wear for her birthday, so I decided I’d do something nice and add a daddy piece into the mix.

March / April 2019 Recap

Time for another Recap post! This two month interval was filled with collaborations – and for this reason, I didn’t sew much from my stash. I was thrilled to be asked to participate in the Style Maker Fabrics Spring blog tour, as well as another collaboration with Pine Crest Fabrics, AND a new pattern promotion with Deer and Doe! All of this on top of my planned quarterly make with Stylish Fabrics meant I didn’t have a lot of time or wiggle room for additional projects, but it did give me the opportunity to really think out each of these collaborations and actually come up with a really great combination of makes! See all the things I came up with in March and April 🙂
