Two exciting things are mixed into my blog post today! I’ve recently partnered up with Stylish Fabric, and I am so excited to be sewing with and showing off some of their beautiful fabrics a few times a year. This is my first affiliate post with them, and I’m super excited to tell you a little more about the fabric I worked with. Secondly, but equally important, happy Sew My Style May Reveal Day! This one was quite an intriguing mystery to all of us for the first few months of the year. The Sew My Style Leader team was so excited to work with Deer & Doe by using one of their brand spanking new releases in our plans. I’ve loved seeing the beautiful versions of the Myosotis Dress pop up this month, and I’m excited to share mine with you today.
It is April Reveal Day! Though I’ve already seen some great Marigold Trousers and Jumpsuits throughout the month, I am hoping to see even more today. It really seemed that the Marigold was the furthest that participants have been pushed out of their comfort zone by Sew My Style to date (myself included!), but I’ve loved seeing what everyone has created. As for myself, I’ve created my first pair of PANTS and I am pretty stinkin’ proud of that!
It is Kalle month here in the Sew My Style Community! How are you coming along with yours? Whether you’re still looking for some direction or elbow deep in your project, you’ve got plenty of resources! If you missed it, I recently did a post with some fabric and styling inspiration! Another great place to look for ideas is by using the hashtag #KalleShirtDress on Instagram. This is a VERY popular make amongst sewists, you could scroll for days gathering great ideas! Today, though – I’m here to show you all my finished Kalle!
Welcome to Month 3 of Project Sew My Style! This month, we will be focusing on the Kalle pattern by Closet Case Patterns. This pattern comes with a few different options for length, collar, placket, pockets, and back pleat detail – it’s a choose your own adventure garment! I’ll be leading this month, so today, I’ve rounded up a few inspiration photos and fabric suggestions that have caught my eye as I began planning out my own project. Take a look, and let me know what you’ll be using to make your Kalle!
