If you follow my Instagram stories, you may have seen that the Bella Wrap Top was in my January / February plans in a smoky blue rayon jersey that I had leftover in my stash. However, when I actually pulled my fabric out, I didn’t even have half the amount needed for the top! I was super bummed, because I’d been really excited about the idea of starting each couple of months with a clear plan for my sewing. Even though my original fabric didn’t work out, I was able to stick to my original pattern plans while trying out this fun speckled knit. Time for another Recap post! This two month interval was filled with collaborations – and for this reason, I didn’t sew much from my stash. I was thrilled to be asked to participate in the Style Maker Fabrics Spring blog tour, as well as another collaboration with Pine Crest Fabrics, AND a new pattern promotion with Deer and Doe! All of this on top of my planned quarterly make with Stylish Fabrics meant I didn’t have a lot of time or wiggle room for additional projects, but it did give me the opportunity to really think out each of these collaborations and actually come up with a really great combination of makes! See all the things I came up with in March and April 🙂
SPRING is here, winter is gone, and bright colors and florals are ready to break out of the closet again! I couldn’t be happier! When Michelle of Style Maker Fabrics asked me to be a part of the Spring Blog Tour, I was thrilled – one of my favorite ways to celebrate anything, especially great weather, is with a great new me-made outfit. Check out my stop on the tour!!!
Happy March!! I’ve decided that this year, as a way to step back and recognize what I’ve made and make sure I’m on track with some of my sewing goals this year, I am going to do a little recap blog post every couple of months! I’m really looking forward to these! If you follow along with my stories on Instagram, you may be familiar with some of my plans and goals for 2019 sewing. I started putting these goals into action as soon as the new year started, and here’s a little rundown of how my first two month segment turned out!
