Another Recap – and another super late post! I’m excited to look back over my September / October makes today, halfway through December. I think next year, I’ll be switching to quarterly instead of bi-monthly recaps, because I just can’t seem to keep up!! Over the two months I’m recapping today, I made 12 new garments – my three favorites were the matching outfits I made for our family for our tiny girl’s first birthday! I did more “selfless” sewing over this period than usual, and also did a little scrap busting by sewing up a headband out of some leftover leggings fabric. I didn’t include any photos here, but that has probably been my most worn item from this period!
I’ve got another awesome Minerva Make up on the blog today! This Orchid Midi Dress that I sewed up back in June is made in the most beautiful large scale floral Lady McElroy cotton lawn. It was the perfect dress to make to participate in so many of the awesome sewing challenges that popped up in June, and has gotten plenty of wear since then! It’s August, which means it is my BIRTHDAY month! I am a self-proclaimed “Birthday Brat,” and I’ve claimed the month of August as my own for basically my entire life. To kick off my birth-month posts, I’m starting off with another Mama / Mini set – you guys know I can’t resist matching with my girl! Avocado is one of my favorite foods, and the first solid food we introduced the tiny girl to. When I found this fun fabric at So Sew English, I knew we needed matching outfits!
