Maternity Peg Legs

Staying active throughout pregnancy is a challenge, in part due to the lack of comfy maternity clothes, and in part due to the crazy fatigue and increased size of my body!! Enter the Peg Legs. I’d had my eye on this leggings pattern by Patterns for Pirates for quite awhile, but had just never followed through on downloading it. My newfound need for maternity-appropriate leggings finally made me bite the bullet! Not only is this an awesome pattern in general, but it is completely FREE. There are two add-on packs available for the pattern, one with some fun details like color-blocked pockets (which, admittedly, I haven’t even opened yet) and another with maternity waistband options! Both of these add-on packs are free, as well! I have made three pairs now, and I couldn’t love them more – check them out today!

Activewear with Pine Crest Fabrics

Making my own activewear has been an exciting new adventure for me this year, and today I’m so excited to share with you my favorite set yet! I have never been one to splurge on my activewear – though I admired cute, luxury activewear from afar, I have always been content to head to the gym in my running shorts and old graphic tanks. As long as I could move in my clothing, I felt good enough about it! However, I wasn’t extremely fond of many of the pieces in my “gym clothes” drawer, and decided why not try my hand at something that was a little more my style? Feeling great about my clothing has never made a situation worse, so I set out on a bit of an activewear adventure. So needless to say that when Pine Crest Fabrics reached out to me about a collaboration opportunity, I was OVER. THE. MOON. with excitement! See what I made with their Olympus Knit on the blog…

I’ve paired up the Sloan Leggings by Hey June with this super great grey/black striped performance knit (both from IndieSew!) and made leggings to rival my favorite RTW pairs. I’m super excited to share the bottom half of this outfit with you all today.

Named Minttu Top with IndieSew

Happy Monday! I’m coming at you guys today with my second installation as part of the IndieSew Blogger Team. This quarter, I chose to make some “practical” garments that I could use in multiple areas of my life. My priorities included making something that I could be active in, but could also transition into casual outings without looking like I just came from the gym. And of course, whatever I made needed to be stretchy to accommodate this growing baby. I’m super happy with my picks!

I chose to sew up the Sloan Leggings by Hey June, alongside the Minttu Swing Top by Named Clothing. I’ve decided to split this outfit into two different posts, so that I can give each piece the love it deserves! So today I’m going to show off my Minttu Top, but tune in tomorrow to hear a little more about the Sloan Leggings (spoiler alert – I’m just pretty stinking pumped I made leggings!)
