RCF Fall Promo Drop

September 2, 2020

Big news – I’ve joined the Raspberry Creek Fabrics Promo Team for 2020! I’ve admired Raspberry Creek Fabrics for so long, and I’m so excited to join their blogger team and enjoy their fabrics this year! My first chance to sew with them was the Fall 2020 Fabric Drop – and I went IN.

I chose three of my favorite fabrics from the Fall fabric release and got to work! These fabrics are available in both French Terry and Cotton Jersey, and the quality on both is fabulous – though I have fallen in love with the French Terry and will be looking to add much more of it to my wardrobe.

When I saw this snail print, it went right to the top of my list! My little one’s nickname is Bug, and she is in a phase right now where she finds bugs pretty interesting. I’ve loved the look of the Brindille & Twig Lounge Sweatshirt for a long time, so I finally added it to my cart and got ready to sew up something to get the little one ready for fall! However, we do live in North Texas and fall won’t actually be here for many weeks (months?), so I chose to make a cute pair of Bummies to match. I LOVE the way this set turned out! I chose the French Terry for this set, and paired it with the Heathered Burgundy French Terry for the coordinating bits. I had a hard time picking which color I wanted to use as a coordinate here – I think the olive or navy would be so great, too!

For myself, I chose this Cable Knit look fabric. I have had plans to make a AK Patterns Sheona Dress in a midi-length hack for quite a while, and I thought it would be perfect and cozy in this French Terry. I love the way I styled it – it may have been 104F outside, but I look ready for falling leaves and pumpkin spice! I love this sage green color, but this one also comes in a lovely cinnamon color – they’re both great and perfect for fall.

Lastly, this fun floral. My favorite thing about this cute floral is that there are so many great color options to coordinate it with! I decided to go with the mustard to pull out as much of the fall time vibes that I could! I picked this specifically to pair with these fun leggings, gifted to me by Bliss Body, and I decided it would be a great time to try out the hit pattern of 2020, the Sophie Hines Axis Tank. I asked for just one yard of this one in the cotton jersey, but after cutting out my tank, I had way more fabric left over than I anticipated, and I was somehow able to pull together another Lounge Sweatshirt and pair of Bummies for the little one. We thoroughly enjoyed wearing our matching outfits (note the headbands and kicks – we went all out for this one) outside last week for some photos!

Which of these fabrics is your favorite? I love them all, but I think I’m partial to those snails. I’m so excited to be a part of the RCF Promo Team this year! I’ll be sharing more photos along the way. Today, the Halloween Fabrics drop and you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be filling my cart before the end of the day.
