One of my favorite things about the online sewing community is the great sense of camaraderie amongst makers. Bloggers are happy to support each other, and there is no shortage of makers supporting each other’s products. One of the best ways that I see this done is with pattern makers or fabric shops who are emerging onto the scene and getting their names out there. I love sewing up new patterns, and can almost always find a way to make something that fits into my wardrobe. Most recently, I had the chance to work with Seen & Sewn Patterns, and I’ve truly loved the experience. Right now, two patterns have been released through Seen & Sewn – the Cozy Cardigan, and the Tracy Bee Top. I’m here to show off my Cozy Cardigan today, but keep an eye out next week for my take on the Tracy Bee!
Happy Friday the 13th! For some reason, I’ve always loved this date – and today, I get to celebrate one of my favorite days with a little extra excitement. Earlier this year, Amy Nicole asked me if I’d like to participate in the upcoming blog tour for her first ever pattern, the Patti Pocket Skirt. I’d been eyeing the pattern for awhile, so of course I was so excited to be asked! Check out my stop on the Patti Pocket Skirt Blog Tour today!!
There is probably an argument that 3 separate versions of a very specific style of dress might be a bit much, but you won’t be finding that argument here. This is my third (and likely, not last) version of the Vogue 9253 pattern, a kimono-inspired deep V-neck dress – this is time in a beautiful, sage green , floral crepe!
To be quite honest, I’ve never been a huge St. Patty’s Day reveler. The extent of my childhood memories of this holiday include being at the zoo one year, hoping to goodness I wouldn’t get pinched by a stranger for not wearing enough green. In recent years, I’ve joined the crowds to enjoy the local St. Patrick’s Day Parade and giggled at the availability of anything and everything dyed a lovely shade of green! However, opportunities to expand my wardrobe are always welcome, and for this reason I love St. Patrick’s Day lately – an excuse to add a little green into my wardrobe! Check out this pretty green BHL Flora dress!
