I turned 29 years old yesterday, and I am thrilled to be sharing some of my birthday love with you all this morning! Every year for my birthday, I pull out a couple of things that I am extra excited to sew. Most years, it is a super special fabric that likely turns into a pretty dress of some sort. Last year, feeling super pregnant, I sewed up a great knit t-shirt dress and a couple of Pony Tanks. This year, I am hitting all the bases. I’ve got a woven dress in the works right now – more on that next week! I’ve got 2 great knit dresses planned with some incredibly beautiful fabric from Minerva. But the big deal birthday gift to myself this year was a pair of Ash Jeans. I’m sharing my thoughts on jeans making today, as well as giving away a little something for you guys!!!!!
Okay, okay – YES, I know that Easter was almost 4 months ago!! So why in the world am I bringing you a post about Easter outfits today, in August? I had the pleasure of making our first Easter outfits as a mama and mini matching set out of some absolutely lovely fabric gifted to me by Minerva Crafts! The blog post I wrote about them was a bit delayed (LIFE, can I get an amen??) but is live on their blog this morning! I’ve got a bit of information below, but head over to Minerva Crafts for the full details and more photos!!
It’s August, which means it is my BIRTHDAY month! I am a self-proclaimed “Birthday Brat,” and I’ve claimed the month of August as my own for basically my entire life. To kick off my birth-month posts, I’m starting off with another Mama / Mini set – you guys know I can’t resist matching with my girl! Avocado is one of my favorite foods, and the first solid food we introduced the tiny girl to. When I found this fun fabric at So Sew English, I knew we needed matching outfits!
Guys, I waited well over a year to make these shorts. They were worth every day of that wait! I’m so excited to be sharing my Lander Shorts with you guys today. Come check out the great actual Cheetah print fabric, and take a look at my first ever button fly!!
