I’m a pretty selfish sewist. My time is limited, and I prefer to spend the vast majority of my sewing time making garments for myself! In the past, I’ve sewn an item or two for my husband and a couple of things for my sister and my sister-in-law. However, since our tiny girl arrived, I’ve really enjoyed sewing a little something up for her every now and then, especially when it means that we can twin. My husband recently lamented that while I’ve taken advantage of mama / mini twinning, he has yet to have the pleasure of matching with her. I’d already planned out matching dresses for Monkey and I to wear for her birthday, so I decided I’d do something nice and add a daddy piece into the mix.
There are few things more satisfying as a sewist than finally turning a fabric you’ve been holding onto for years into a garment that you know that you’re going to wear all the time. This is one of those garments! I’m here today to convince you (though it won’t take much convincing) that you need this pattern. And it is only $1, so I think we’re gonna be on the same page here. 🙂
Happy SewMyStyle Reveal Sunday! I’m thrilled to be revealing my new beautiful Phoenix Blouse, a silhouette that I needed in my closet. I had the pleasure of sewing up this version in this CRAZY great cotton from Fibers to Fabric, and I was not disappointed! Come check it out this morning!
My blog post about this adorable sloth romper is live over on Minerva Crafts today! I still can’t get over how much I love this fabric. It features sweet, sleepy little sloths that CHANGE COLOR in the sunlight! I had heard of glow-in-the-dark fabric before, but I had no idea such a thing as UV-Reactive fabric existed prior to falling in love with this fabric! Seriously – how cool is that??
