Happy March!! I’ve decided that this year, as a way to step back and recognize what I’ve made and make sure I’m on track with some of my sewing goals this year, I am going to do a little recap blog post every couple of months! I’m really looking forward to these! If you follow along with my stories on Instagram, you may be familiar with some of my plans and goals for 2019 sewing. I started putting these goals into action as soon as the new year started, and here’s a little rundown of how my first two month segment turned out!
It’s time for some serious football here in Dallas!! When OU and UT meet up for football every October, it’s a pretty big deal in my group of people. Despite living in Texas, my husband and I bleed crimson and cream, and I needed to make sure I had something to wear to this year’s gameday that would fit over this giant 36-week bump, and clearly let everyone know which side I’m on! See what I came up with on the blog this morning!
My wool vest is most definitely one of the simplest, quickest, and most effective DIY pieces I’ve added to my closet over the past year and a half. I originally made this piece in the fall of 2016 – I love this pretty camel color, and it’s a perfect neutral that works well with prints or solids underneath. Since I’ve gotten quite a few inquiries about this vest since posting a few photos of it on Instagram, I thought I’d go ahead and show you guys a little tutorial!
